with Carl

Working with Carl as
his musical director (1998—2004) was a wonderful and fruitful association in my career. He was the best person
any musician would want
to work with. He was fun
to be around and was always encouraging and inspirational to all whom
he encountered. Carl would always allow his musicians to freely express themselves whenever
they took solos. Every musician's input was important and well respected by him. In his performances, he would also showcase all of my talents, featuring me as conductor, arranger, composer and featured soloist. He would do this unselfishly to promote my abilities and those of the other musicians to his audiences! How special
and rare this is!
